NRP STUDENTS ARE REQUIRED TO COMPLETE AN ONLINE COURSE AND EXAM PRIOR TO ATTENDING THE NRP ADVANCED PROVIDER COURSE.
NRP Advanced Provider Course: $180 Course + Key + Skills Session.
Recommended for: Healthcare professionals involved in the delivery and care of newborns including Pediatricians, Respiratory Therapists, and Nurses. Also recommended for students interested in this field.
The Neonatal Resuscitation Program® (NRP®) course conveys an evidence-based approach to care of the newborn at birth and facilitates effective team-based care for healthcare professionals who care for newborns at the time of delivery. NRP utilizes a blended learning approach, which includes online testing and hands-on case-based simulation/debriefing that focus on critical leadership, communication, and team-work skills.
KeyCode/License to Curriculum/: Your KeyCode/License to NRP Advanced Provider Online is sent in a separate email.KeyCode/License is sent during normal business hours Monday through Friday, never on the weekend.
Course Length: Online class averages 5.0 hours / Skills Session about 2+ hours.
NRP has been reformatted to require students to take an active role in their learning. The current format requires that ALL STUDENTS MUST COMPLETE THE ONLINE 8TH EDITION NRP EXAMINATION PRIOR TO THEIR SCHEDULED SKILLS SESSION. YOU MUST BRING YOUR CERTIFICATE TO COMPLETION TO PARTICIPATE IN THE NRP INSTRUCTOR-LED SKILLS SESSION. THE NRP ADVANCED PROVIDER COURSE MUST BE TAKEN WITHIN 90 DAYS OF COMPLETING THE ONLINE EXAMINATION.
Book: To complete the online examination, you will need to purchase or have access to the 8th Edition textbook. Our students tell us that this is very important.The textbook is available through AAP directly.
NRP Advanced Provider Course includes:
1. Complete the written examination online and course survey. When you sign up through The CPR Lady, you will automatically receive the online key. Key is included in the price of the course.
2. NRP Instructor-led Skills Session (required). You have 90 days from the completion date of your written examination to complete the NRP Skills Session. Components of the NRP Advanced Skills Session are:
- Performance Skills Stations
- Integrated Skills Station
- Simulation and Debriefing
This is a NO STRESS learning time designed to learn/refresh skills of neonatal resuscitation, not a pass/fail testing session.
Directions: Complete the online session prior to your appointment time. Student MUST bring the printed NRP Advanced Provider Certificate of Completion to Skills Session.
Receive NRP eCard day of class! Course Completion eCard is issued day of class.
Course Location: The class is held at The CPR Lady, Inc. - 15375 Barranca Pkwy J-106, Irvine, CA 92618. The CPR Lady, Inc. is in the TriQuest Business Center in Building J Suite 106. Major cross streets are Barranca Parkway and Technology Drive. Enter on either Barranca or Technology.

CEs Available! The CPR Lady Training Center has been accredited as an Authorized Provider to offer CEs to Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT), Paramedics (Medic), Pharmacists (RPh), Respiratory Care Practitioners (RCP or RT), Registered Nurses (RN) and Nurse Practitioners (NP)
Students must request CEs at the time of class, state their profession, give their license number, and sign the CE Roster. CEs cannot be issued after the class is completed and closed.
