NRP STUDENTS ARE REQUIRED TO COMPLETE AN ONLINE CLASS AND EXAM PRIOR TO ATTENDING THE NRP ADVANCED PROVIDER COURSE.

Recommended for: Healthcare professionals involved in the delivery and care of newborns including Pediatricians, Respiratory Therapists, and Nurses. Also recommended for Students interested in this field.
The Neonatal Resuscitation Program® (NRP®) course conveys an evidence-based approach to care of the newborn at birth and facilitates effective team-based care for healthcare professionals who care for newborns at the time of delivery. NRP utilizes a blended learning approach, which includes online testing and hands-on case-based simulation/debriefing that focus on critical leadership, communication, and team-work skills.
KeyCode/License: This option is for Students who already have their ADVANCED Online Key/License.
Course Length: Online class averages 5.0 hours / Skills Session about 2+ hours.
NRP has been reformatted to require students to take an active role in their learning. The current format requires that ALL STUDENTS MUST COMPLETE THE ONLINE 8TH EDITION NRP EXAMINATION PRIOR TO THEIR SCHEDULED SKILLS SESSION. YOU MUST BRING YOUR CERTIFICATE TO COMPLETION TO PARTICIPATE IN THE NRP INSTRUCTOR-LED SKILLS SESSION. THE NRP ADVANCED PROVIDER COURSE MUST BE TAKEN WITHIN 90 DAYS OF COMPLETING THE ONLINE EXAMINATION.
The ALS: Maternal Cardiac Arrest Online may be added to the NRP Provider Course during registration process. Cardiac Arrest (MCA) is a life-threatening event that may occur in any healthcare setting, even outside the hospital. Cardiac arrest in this population poses unique challenges to a healthcare team since there are critical actions affecting two patients. The ALS: Maternal Cardiac Arrest explores the why of MCA and how to treat pregnant cardiac arrest patients within a hospital. This eLearning course features True Adaptive™ learning, where students follow a learning path personalized by their own inputs and self-reported confidence level.

Book: To complete the online examination, you will need to purchase or have access to the 8th Edition textbook. Our students tell us that this is very important. The textbook is available through AAP directly.
NRP Advanced Provider Course includes:
1. Complete the written examination online and course survey. When you sign up through The CPR Lady, you will automatically receive the online key. Key is included in the price of the course.
2. NRP Instructor-led Skills Session (required). You have 90 days from the completion date of your written examination to complete the NRP Skills Session. Components of the NRP Advanced Skills Session are:
- Performance Skills Stations
- Integrated Skills Station
- Simulation and Debriefing
This is a NO STRESS learning time designed to learn/refresh skills of neonatal resuscitation, not a pass/fail testing session.
Directions: Complete the online course prior to your appointment time. Student MUST bring the printed NRP Advanced Provider Certificate of Completion to Skills Session.
Receive NRP eCard day of class! Course Completion eCard is issued day of class.
Course Location: The class is held at The CPR Lady, Inc. - 15375 Barranca Pkwy J-106, Irvine, CA 92618. The CPR Lady, Inc. is in the TriQuest Business Center in Building J Suite 106. Major cross streets are Barranca Parkway and Technology Drive. Enter on either Barranca or Technology.

CEs Available! The CPR Lady Training Center has been accredited as an Authorized Provider to offer CEs to Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT), Paramedics (Medic), Pharmacists (RPh), Respiratory Care Practitioners (RCP or RT), Registered Nurses (RN) and Nurse Practitioners (NP)
Students must request CEs at the time of class, state their profession, give their license number, and sign the CE Roster. CEs cannot be issued after the class is completed and closed.
The Advanced Life Support: Maternal Cardiac Arrest Online may be added to the ACLS Traditional Course during registration process. This course explores the why of Maternal Cardiac Arrest (MCA) and how to treat pregnant cardiac arrest patients within a hospital. Possible CEs issued by American Heart Association depending on profession.
